Luke 4:18 -19 ”The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord “
While in prayer the beginning of this year, I asked the Lord to give me a definitive plan regarding this ministry. I had felt recently that I had been going on without a clear direction, and understood that I needed a specific purpose in ministry.
I had felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to learn more from Him, as I knew that something bigger was in the horizon. I felt in my spirit that I needed to prepare for the future.
The years of mentorship and training did not seem enough for me, it was then, led of the Lord, that I embarked on an online Bible Course.
As I began my studies, I felt that all my years of conferences, seminars, training and mentoring was coming together. It seemed that all of the pieces of the puzzle were finally being put into place. It was then that I realized that I needed something fresh and new from the Lord regarding the ministry, and He did just that.
While in prayer and fasting, I asked the Lord to give me a clear direction for this ministry, a new vision.
The original vision of imparting and teaching the deeper things of God, and bring believers into maturity still stands, but it is now expanded.
The Lord gave me a dream and the scripture verse quoted above.
In my dream I was boarding a plane, but I was not a passenger, I was in the cockpit. A man in a pilots uniform was piloting the plane.
The passengers boarding the plane had on hospital gowns and IV’s, some were in wheelchairs, others had missing limbs. Some were obese, and others extremely thin. There were no “normal” people on this plane.
We began to taxi on the runway, and it was then that I woke up.
The Lord spoke very clearly to me and wanted me to reach the brokenhearted , the bruised, the afflicted. He wanted Jesus preached to these people.
The obese were those that were filled with the word, and no Spirit. The thin people were those starved and hunger for the word of God. The passengers with broken limbs, inwheelchairs and with IV”s, were those whom are oppressed and brokenhearted.
Sitting in the cockpit indicates a new place of authority, and it is by faith that I step out.
I am excited with what the Lord is doing in these end times.
When we prepare ourselves before the Lord, and with our desire to serve Him, there is nothing that He will withhold from us.
Let us prepare together and go in His authority and power.
