Dialogue with God

Exodus  6:2  And God spoke to Moses and said to him: I am the LORD.

The following is my journal entry from my prayer time.  I rarely share my  entries,  but felt  this one is important.

As I began to pray and thank the Lord for the many blessings, I had my pen and notebook in hand and this is what transpired next:

It’s not about titles, the size of your congregation, that status the world places upon you, it’s about intimacy with Me. I long to have a deep two-way conversation with my children. Many times I can only say one phrase, and my children don’t continue the conversation. They take the phrase and run with it, or get excited and don’t ask for more. I have much to say, much to offer, much to share, and I desire dialogue.

I repent and ask the Lord’s forgiveness for not continuing  conversations that we have had in the past.

Remember I told you, ask away.  Just ask anything of Me, and I will share what is on my heart.

Lord, what would you like to say to your church, your bride?

I desire dialogue, two-way conversation, extended time to be just with Me.  I desire for them to be free from distractions, to seek my will, to be in their presence.

Can you imagine, God want’s to be in our presence, that is how much He loves us!

The Lord did say more, but it’s more of a personal nature.   We know the Lord is coming soon, and it’s only through intimacy we can be prepared.  We will not know the day or the hour of the Lord’s coming,( Matthew 25:13) we are commanded though to be ready and watch.

How will we watch if we don’t have  a relationship with our God,  that two-way dialogue, or even attempt a conversation?

Every one of us is able to hear the voice of the Lord. Jesus has paid a heavy price for us to have direct communication with our Father. Let’s make the most of Jesus’ sacrifice, enter into intimacy with our Father and dialogue, and ask away!

May you be richly blessed this day.

December Prophecy

By Maurice Sklar

The American dollar is about to lose 30% more of its’ present value.  This will be the second drop since the previous 2008 drop of 20%.  The dollar will then be worth half of what it was before September 2008.  This drop will cause great economic distress upon our nation.  The church will be shaken and many will wake up spiritually and cry out to ME.  There will be also looting, rioting, and terrorism in our land.

There is an even greater financial disaster that is falling upon Europe that will collapse the Euro, cause panic and chaos there.  Germany will refuse to prop up the euro any more.  Basic needs in the poorer European nations will be threatened.  Many will lose their money overnight as the stage is set for the financial takeover of the Antichrist system.  This is imminent, and the dollar will also follow, although it will survive for a season more.

The great revival will also begin.  God has hidden His Holy Apostles and Prophets for this present hour.  There will be great outpourings of supernatural provision, miracles, and healing in various places.  These areas will become cities of refuge and places of refuge for God’s people.

There is coming an all out war in the Middle East as the neighboring Arab nations will come against Israel with a sudden missile attack starting from the north with Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Syria.  Other Arab nations will join.  Israel will be hit from all sides at once and there will be deaths and partial destruction of settlements, smaller cities to the north, and some damage to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well.  Israel will respond with great force, and limited nuclear weapons will release devastation upon the neighboring countries, particularly Lebanon, Damascus, which will be destroyed completely, and the rest of Syria as well as military strikes into Iran, Gaza, and even northern Egypt/Sinai region.

The resulting shaking of the West will then release a tremendous movement of Jews making aliyah back to Israel.  There will no longer be security or stability as it has been up to now in America and Europe. Israel will emerge victorious from this war, but hurt. However, the devastation inflicted upon the attackers will be one hundred times worse. The spoils of this war will include much territory and will force the west to recognize the Holy God of Israel.  It will emerge as the only stable country in the region.  Many, even millions of Arabs will be killed.  Islam will receive a mortal wounding by the Holy God of Israel.

I am taking Billy Graham home to heaven soon.  When you see this, know that My time of grace for the Gentile nations is coming to a close.

Prepare your hearts, the LORD is at the door to appear for His Bride, the overcoming church in this midnight hour

Pray for those that are trapped in darkness that God will reach them in time.

In our Messiah,

Abundance in Times of Famine

In times of famine, you will have an abundance.

The Lord woke me up with those words a few days ago, it was about 4:30 a.m.  As I jumped out of bed, at first I was happy that I would have an abundance and began praying and praising the Lord.  But the more I thought about what I heard,  I realized that perhaps we are nearing  a time of famine, and maybe we are to do something about it.

I was then reminded about the story of Joseph, how the Lord gave him the interpretation of the dream Pharaoh had regarding the seven fine looking and fat cows, and another seven  ugly looking and gaunt cows.  Pharoah then  had a second dream  with seven heads of grain, plump and good,  and seven thin heads of grain that devoured the seven plump and good grains.  See Genesis 41.

The interpretation the Lord gave Joseph was that there would be seven years of abundance,  and seven years of famine.

In those first seven years, Joseph,  now appointed as Pharaohs right hand man, stored up enough grain in preparation for the famine that lied ahead.  When the famine hit, Egypt had enough grain stored for the people.

The end result:  Egypt did not suffer the consequence  which affected the other lands,  because they heeded the warning the Lord had given them through Joseph.

In all of this, are we to prepare for  a time of famine, or is the Lord giving me another message?  I believe we are to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. It’s no secret that the economy worldwide is in shambles, held up artificially and could collapse at any time.  If  and when that happens, what comes next?   For me it would be hard to imagine since I have never experienced a depression, war or famine in my lifetime.

What I do know is that there will be famine, and it’s supported Biblically.  Like Joseph, we can prepare and store, seek His wisdom and guidance, and trust in Jesus.

May you be richly blessed this day.

Double Portion

2 Kings 2:10 So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

The story of Elijah and Elijah is one that I never grow tired of reading or hearing about.  I love reading about Elisha’s devotion to Elijah, and his love for him.

Elisha being a prophet knew that the Lord was ready to take Elijah.  During this time, Elijah was asking Elisha to stay behind as he had to go to Bethel and then to Jericho, but he wouldn’t.   He responded that he would not leave him, and he kept true to his word.

Elisha  focus was to stay near Elijah. When Elijah asked him what he wanted, Elisha responded that he wanted a double portion of his Spirit.  His request would be  granted if Elisha was able to keep his eye on him, and on nothing else.

While the sons of the prophets stayed at a distance, Elisha was right by Elijah’s side.  Then it  happened.  The chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, it separated Elijah and Elisha, and Elijah  went up by a whirlwind to heaven.  Elisha saw it and cried out, then saw him no more.   Elisha then took up Elijah mantle, and now the anointing rested upon Elisha.

This is a powerful  lesson we need  learn: stay focused on our vision, don’t be   distracted when “fire” comes near us, and never ever watch from a distance.  We are to keep our focus on God, his plan and his promises for our life,  lest the mantle fall and another takes it.

May all of us keep our focus on God,  appreciate the anointing and be willing to stand next to the fire to receive it.

Judging Revelation

Acts 10:13-16  And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat. But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”  And a voice came to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”This was done three times.  And the object was taken up into heaven again.

A common question was asked to a pastor  I know well and respect, but I did not agree with his answer.

“What do you think about those that are dying, I have heard that there are either angels waiting to escort him or her to heaven, or there are demons, ready to take the person to hell. ”  The pastor replied, “There is no biblical basis regarding  angels or demons being present when a person is dying,  so that notion must be discarded.”

The verse above states that Peter was on a rooftop praying, and he fell into a trance.  While in the trance, the Lord gives him a vision and tells him to kill and eat animals that were unclean.  Peter knew that he was not to eat anything unclean, and resisted the voice that came to him. But the voice came again, and the third time Peter realized it was the Lord speaking to him.

This  vision caused Peter to realize that God was showing him something new.  It was written that Jews were not to eat  unclean animals, but yet God just spoke to him not once, but three times!   This caused a new mindset in Peter.  It was shortly afterwards that Peter was used of the Lord to open the gospel to the Gentiles where they received the  baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We can receive a revelation  and not find any reference to it in the Bible, such as seeing  angles ready to escort a body to Heaven.

We hear  that the Lord will not contradict scripture, but yet what do we do when we “see “ or experience something that is not in scripture?

We put it to the test. 1  Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

In Jesus own words, He says in John 15:26   ”But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”

We have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us,  and he will testify of the truth, that truth being Jesus.

The revelation you received, will it draw people closer to Jesus, or away from the Lord?  Is it exalting you or Jesus?  All revelation is to exalt the Lord, not man.

Proverbs  11:14  Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
If you are not sure about the revelation you received, share it with your pastor and with others that you know and trust.

True revelation will produce liberty and not bondage see Romans 8:15

True revelation will produce life, not death.

The word or revelation received should never turn you away from the obedience of God.  See Duet 13:1-5

True revelation should build up the people of God,  encourage and comfort.

Finally, Jesus walked in love.  We are to walk in love and humility, exalting the gift giver and not the gift.  May the church continue to grow in intimacy with the gift giver.

Be Still

Psalm 46 10:  Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God, for it is in the stillness of your heart that I will reveal myself to you and show myself strong and mighty.

In the stillness  I speak to you.  Listen to my still small voice, where this voice, my voice will tell you great and mighty things which you do not know..

Be still and know that I AM God.

Fasting

Isaiah 58:6 Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?

Last year the Lord had begun speaking to me about beginning a fast.  To be honest, I really did not want to hear that, as the thought of going without food for a day or more was not something I was looking forward to.  I really enjoy eating!

The Lord would not let this go, so I began to study the scriptures and look closer into the concept of fasting.  I did not have good teaching on it, and knew that if I were to fast, it should be done correctly.  I also looked for books on the subject, and found an excellent book called  Fasting,  by Jentezen Franklin.

This book  laid the proper foundation that I was lacking.    Fernando and I  began this year with a  21 day Daniel Fast.  As we fasted and prayed, we realized that we had been missing out on a blessing.

Fasting has caused many things to increase in my  spiritual life.  For example, I have  greater faith and am  more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.  I had a particular prayer request, and the Lord answered me through a dream.  Among other things, I have a deeper hunger for the word.

The Lord has changed my mindset about fasting, and now I wonder how did I go so long without it?  It should be every believers desire to draw closer to the Lord, to know His will in our life and to live a victorious life.

I now encourage others to fast for spiritual breakthrough and increased blessing in their lives.

If the  Lord is calling you to fast, search the scriptures and read books on the subject,  I am sure that there are other great books out there besides the one that I had mentioned.  The time is coming closer for the  Lords return, and I for one would like to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches, and not miss out on His voice in these last days.

Blessings in His name.
