Dialogue with God

Exodus  6:2  And God spoke to Moses and said to him: I am the LORD.

The following is my journal entry from my prayer time.  I rarely share my  entries,  but felt  this one is important.

As I began to pray and thank the Lord for the many blessings, I had my pen and notebook in hand and this is what transpired next:

It’s not about titles, the size of your congregation, that status the world places upon you, it’s about intimacy with Me. I long to have a deep two-way conversation with my children. Many times I can only say one phrase, and my children don’t continue the conversation. They take the phrase and run with it, or get excited and don’t ask for more. I have much to say, much to offer, much to share, and I desire dialogue.

I repent and ask the Lord’s forgiveness for not continuing  conversations that we have had in the past.

Remember I told you, ask away.  Just ask anything of Me, and I will share what is on my heart.

Lord, what would you like to say to your church, your bride?

I desire dialogue, two-way conversation, extended time to be just with Me.  I desire for them to be free from distractions, to seek my will, to be in their presence.

Can you imagine, God want’s to be in our presence, that is how much He loves us!

The Lord did say more, but it’s more of a personal nature.   We know the Lord is coming soon, and it’s only through intimacy we can be prepared.  We will not know the day or the hour of the Lord’s coming,( Matthew 25:13) we are commanded though to be ready and watch.

How will we watch if we don’t have  a relationship with our God,  that two-way dialogue, or even attempt a conversation?

Every one of us is able to hear the voice of the Lord. Jesus has paid a heavy price for us to have direct communication with our Father. Let’s make the most of Jesus’ sacrifice, enter into intimacy with our Father and dialogue, and ask away!

May you be richly blessed this day.

What is your Gift?

Romans 4:17b in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.

I just started following a new writing blog that has greatly encouraged me.  For quite some time I have had a desire to write, but through life’s circumstances my desire for writing disappeared. It was not until I had some wonderful people pray for me and it was discovered that the enemy stole my gift!  Since he was found out, he had to return it and I am back writing again.

In this blog post, the writer  challenges us to call ourselves ‘writers.”  That sparked something in me, and not only does God call us many wonderful things and His promises are true, it’s important that we call ourselves what  the Lord shows us and  yes, what we desire to be.

Besides writing, The Lord has also called me to preach, and that is something I already do.  So I thought, what else has the Lord called me to do and be?  Are the gifts and calling limited to just one or two  things, or many things?

What has He called you?  What is your desire?  It’s not what people label you but it’s what you label yourself that will make the biggest impact on others.

Are you a missionary, evangelist, exhorter?  What a about a prophet?  Maybe you have the gift of service, helps or administration and don’t feel qualified for the job.  Qualification begins from inside out. Trust me, that is how it starts, I have been there!  Once you “believe ”  that  the Lord has called you and has given you a gift, it will only be natural for you to  operate in that gift and then it will show on the outside.

Maybe you were like me, where the gift was gone, stolen. God gives life to the dead and calls those things that are not as though they are.  Reclaim what is yours, and begin walking out your gift today, not tomorrow but today.

May you be richly blessed this day!

December Prophecy

By Maurice Sklar

The American dollar is about to lose 30% more of its’ present value.  This will be the second drop since the previous 2008 drop of 20%.  The dollar will then be worth half of what it was before September 2008.  This drop will cause great economic distress upon our nation.  The church will be shaken and many will wake up spiritually and cry out to ME.  There will be also looting, rioting, and terrorism in our land.

There is an even greater financial disaster that is falling upon Europe that will collapse the Euro, cause panic and chaos there.  Germany will refuse to prop up the euro any more.  Basic needs in the poorer European nations will be threatened.  Many will lose their money overnight as the stage is set for the financial takeover of the Antichrist system.  This is imminent, and the dollar will also follow, although it will survive for a season more.

The great revival will also begin.  God has hidden His Holy Apostles and Prophets for this present hour.  There will be great outpourings of supernatural provision, miracles, and healing in various places.  These areas will become cities of refuge and places of refuge for God’s people.

There is coming an all out war in the Middle East as the neighboring Arab nations will come against Israel with a sudden missile attack starting from the north with Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Syria.  Other Arab nations will join.  Israel will be hit from all sides at once and there will be deaths and partial destruction of settlements, smaller cities to the north, and some damage to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well.  Israel will respond with great force, and limited nuclear weapons will release devastation upon the neighboring countries, particularly Lebanon, Damascus, which will be destroyed completely, and the rest of Syria as well as military strikes into Iran, Gaza, and even northern Egypt/Sinai region.

The resulting shaking of the West will then release a tremendous movement of Jews making aliyah back to Israel.  There will no longer be security or stability as it has been up to now in America and Europe. Israel will emerge victorious from this war, but hurt. However, the devastation inflicted upon the attackers will be one hundred times worse. The spoils of this war will include much territory and will force the west to recognize the Holy God of Israel.  It will emerge as the only stable country in the region.  Many, even millions of Arabs will be killed.  Islam will receive a mortal wounding by the Holy God of Israel.

I am taking Billy Graham home to heaven soon.  When you see this, know that My time of grace for the Gentile nations is coming to a close.

Prepare your hearts, the LORD is at the door to appear for His Bride, the overcoming church in this midnight hour

Pray for those that are trapped in darkness that God will reach them in time.

In our Messiah,

Abundance in Times of Famine

In times of famine, you will have an abundance.

The Lord woke me up with those words a few days ago, it was about 4:30 a.m.  As I jumped out of bed, at first I was happy that I would have an abundance and began praying and praising the Lord.  But the more I thought about what I heard,  I realized that perhaps we are nearing  a time of famine, and maybe we are to do something about it.

I was then reminded about the story of Joseph, how the Lord gave him the interpretation of the dream Pharaoh had regarding the seven fine looking and fat cows, and another seven  ugly looking and gaunt cows.  Pharoah then  had a second dream  with seven heads of grain, plump and good,  and seven thin heads of grain that devoured the seven plump and good grains.  See Genesis 41.

The interpretation the Lord gave Joseph was that there would be seven years of abundance,  and seven years of famine.

In those first seven years, Joseph,  now appointed as Pharaohs right hand man, stored up enough grain in preparation for the famine that lied ahead.  When the famine hit, Egypt had enough grain stored for the people.

The end result:  Egypt did not suffer the consequence  which affected the other lands,  because they heeded the warning the Lord had given them through Joseph.

In all of this, are we to prepare for  a time of famine, or is the Lord giving me another message?  I believe we are to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. It’s no secret that the economy worldwide is in shambles, held up artificially and could collapse at any time.  If  and when that happens, what comes next?   For me it would be hard to imagine since I have never experienced a depression, war or famine in my lifetime.

What I do know is that there will be famine, and it’s supported Biblically.  Like Joseph, we can prepare and store, seek His wisdom and guidance, and trust in Jesus.

May you be richly blessed this day.

Judging Revelation

Acts 10:13-16  And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat. But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”  And a voice came to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”This was done three times.  And the object was taken up into heaven again.

A common question was asked to a pastor  I know well and respect, but I did not agree with his answer.

“What do you think about those that are dying, I have heard that there are either angels waiting to escort him or her to heaven, or there are demons, ready to take the person to hell. ”  The pastor replied, “There is no biblical basis regarding  angels or demons being present when a person is dying,  so that notion must be discarded.”

The verse above states that Peter was on a rooftop praying, and he fell into a trance.  While in the trance, the Lord gives him a vision and tells him to kill and eat animals that were unclean.  Peter knew that he was not to eat anything unclean, and resisted the voice that came to him. But the voice came again, and the third time Peter realized it was the Lord speaking to him.

This  vision caused Peter to realize that God was showing him something new.  It was written that Jews were not to eat  unclean animals, but yet God just spoke to him not once, but three times!   This caused a new mindset in Peter.  It was shortly afterwards that Peter was used of the Lord to open the gospel to the Gentiles where they received the  baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We can receive a revelation  and not find any reference to it in the Bible, such as seeing  angles ready to escort a body to Heaven.

We hear  that the Lord will not contradict scripture, but yet what do we do when we “see “ or experience something that is not in scripture?

We put it to the test. 1  Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

In Jesus own words, He says in John 15:26   ”But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”

We have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us,  and he will testify of the truth, that truth being Jesus.

The revelation you received, will it draw people closer to Jesus, or away from the Lord?  Is it exalting you or Jesus?  All revelation is to exalt the Lord, not man.

Proverbs  11:14  Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
If you are not sure about the revelation you received, share it with your pastor and with others that you know and trust.

True revelation will produce liberty and not bondage see Romans 8:15

True revelation will produce life, not death.

The word or revelation received should never turn you away from the obedience of God.  See Duet 13:1-5

True revelation should build up the people of God,  encourage and comfort.

Finally, Jesus walked in love.  We are to walk in love and humility, exalting the gift giver and not the gift.  May the church continue to grow in intimacy with the gift giver.

Resurrection Sunday

John 19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called ”The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

As we draw near Resurrection Sunday, I wanted to take a look at the Scriptures and delve into what Jesus accomplished for us at the cross.   The  phrase,  “The finished work on Calvary”  is heard often.  Not only during Easter, but in sermons from at any time.

So what exactly was finished?  While I may not have all the answers, one thing that I have been meditating on was passing from the Covenant of the Law to the Covenant of  Grace.

In the Old Testament we were under the Covenant of the Law.  Covenants were made and lasted a lifetime, and the only way a covenant could end was by death.  Jesus died on the cross so that we could pass from the Covenant of the Law into the Covenant of Grace.

Grace;  we are cleansed from our sin, where there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus,  where we are the righteousness of Christ, we have life everlasting and we have a God that is rich in mercy and forgiveness!

Scripture tells us that  Barabbas, a sinner was let free.   This is symbolic and prophetic.  We were let go of our sins, Jesus took the penalty for us, and we are now forgiven  by the precious blood of the  lamb. As a result we do not have to experience eternal death.

In the verse quoted above, Jesus sat down in the judgement seat. This judgement seat is the word Bema, where the saved will stand before and receive their rewards.   The believers will not be judged, because of the Covenant of Grace and because of the judgement Jesus took in our place.

The unbelievers will face the Great White Throne of Judgement.  Great because only the Lord God Himself is Great, white because only in Him is there purity and He alone sits on the throne.

2 Corinthians  5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things  done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Here we will receive our  rewards for our  faithfulness to the Lord.  We will not be condemned, nor will our sins be pointed out to us.

As I read the scriptures of Jesus being given vinegar while he hung on the cross, also called Old Wine, we were passing from the old into the new.  When we pass from the darkness into the light, we leave behind the old man, the old wine or vinegar.  Jesus was passing from the old covenant (law) into the Covenant of Grace.

Old wine or vinegar, is symbolic of the law.  We are no longer under the law!

Mark 14:25 Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.

May we truly meditate on the goodness the Lord has done for us, as a free and unconditional gift.  I often think why the Lord chose me, a sinner.  It’s because of His grace, mercy, and love for us that he died for us.  Let’s honor Him in all we do, say and think and be effective for His kingdom.

Jesus ended His time on the cross by saying, “It is finished.”  May we say it is finished to our old habits, our old way of thinking and fully embrace and cherish what was accomplished for us on the cross.

May you be richly blessed this day.

Sifted as Wheat

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.”

There are certain times in our walk with the Lord that will include sifting.    We will have  trials, difficult moments and tests,  all of which is  part of God’s plan for our life.  The sifting has a definite purpose.

The process:
In order to sift  out the  edible grain  from the chaff ,  the wheat was thrown on the ground.  This process is called threshing.   The ground  was most likely stone and the wheat was beaten with a flail.  A flail consisted of a metal rod with chains on the end. Sometimes the flail had a ball with spikes.   The word itself means to strike with repeated blows.

The next step in sifting  is called winnowing.  Here the workers would throw the wheat into the air and the breeze would separate the chaff from the grain.  The grain which was heavier would land back on the stone floor, and the chaff would be taken by the breeze.  The chaff would land farther from the original stone.

If you notice, Jesus identified Peter as wheat and not chaff. He knew that he would land on the stone or rock, and be fruitful once the process ended.

Sifting is important for several reasons.   We are purged from self, from pride, and we learn not to rely on ourselves but on God. The chaff in our life will be removed.

When the sifting is complete, we will be strong enough to  encourage and strengthen our brothers and sisters in the Lord, and move onto greater and mightier things.

Peter was shaken, tossed, beaten in his faith, but guess what.  He landed on the rock, even when he denied Jesus three times.

Perhaps you have had a time in your life  where you feel that you have been beaten repeatedly, and then tossed into the air.  Just like Peter, you too will land on the rock!

One thing is certain, the sifting ended and the work was complete in Peter.

May the sifting come to an end, and may you rise up in what the Lord has for you, which is His good and perfect will for your life.

May you be richly blessed this day.
