Dialogue with God

Exodus  6:2  And God spoke to Moses and said to him: I am the LORD.

The following is my journal entry from my prayer time.  I rarely share my  entries,  but felt  this one is important.

As I began to pray and thank the Lord for the many blessings, I had my pen and notebook in hand and this is what transpired next:

It’s not about titles, the size of your congregation, that status the world places upon you, it’s about intimacy with Me. I long to have a deep two-way conversation with my children. Many times I can only say one phrase, and my children don’t continue the conversation. They take the phrase and run with it, or get excited and don’t ask for more. I have much to say, much to offer, much to share, and I desire dialogue.

I repent and ask the Lord’s forgiveness for not continuing  conversations that we have had in the past.

Remember I told you, ask away.  Just ask anything of Me, and I will share what is on my heart.

Lord, what would you like to say to your church, your bride?

I desire dialogue, two-way conversation, extended time to be just with Me.  I desire for them to be free from distractions, to seek my will, to be in their presence.

Can you imagine, God want’s to be in our presence, that is how much He loves us!

The Lord did say more, but it’s more of a personal nature.   We know the Lord is coming soon, and it’s only through intimacy we can be prepared.  We will not know the day or the hour of the Lord’s coming,( Matthew 25:13) we are commanded though to be ready and watch.

How will we watch if we don’t have  a relationship with our God,  that two-way dialogue, or even attempt a conversation?

Every one of us is able to hear the voice of the Lord. Jesus has paid a heavy price for us to have direct communication with our Father. Let’s make the most of Jesus’ sacrifice, enter into intimacy with our Father and dialogue, and ask away!

May you be richly blessed this day.

Serving the Lord

Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

In my prayer time to the Lord, I was thanking Him for his abundant blessings, love, and how He continually provides and cares for us, even when times are rough.   I then asked the Lord a question.

“How can I serve you Lord, you have done so much for us?”

That  still small voice replies “By pouring out to others you serve Me.  By sharing my grace, my goodness, my love and compassion to a hurting world. Heal the brokenhearted, hold nothing back.  My anointing rest upon you, and my glory rest upon you.”

What a wonderful response from the Lord.  When the Lord laid his life on the cross, it was a selfish act of giving His all to us, even to those that would reject him.  Even to this day, His Name is the only name that we can call  to help us in times of trouble.

I know that this word does not only apply to me, but to all that serve and Love the Lord.  Even to this day, He gives.

May we do the same, and give what He has poured into us.  the more we give out, the more He pours in.  In doing so, we  give others hope that can only come in the name of Jesus.

May you be richly blessed this day.

December Prophecy

By Maurice Sklar

The American dollar is about to lose 30% more of its’ present value.  This will be the second drop since the previous 2008 drop of 20%.  The dollar will then be worth half of what it was before September 2008.  This drop will cause great economic distress upon our nation.  The church will be shaken and many will wake up spiritually and cry out to ME.  There will be also looting, rioting, and terrorism in our land.

There is an even greater financial disaster that is falling upon Europe that will collapse the Euro, cause panic and chaos there.  Germany will refuse to prop up the euro any more.  Basic needs in the poorer European nations will be threatened.  Many will lose their money overnight as the stage is set for the financial takeover of the Antichrist system.  This is imminent, and the dollar will also follow, although it will survive for a season more.

The great revival will also begin.  God has hidden His Holy Apostles and Prophets for this present hour.  There will be great outpourings of supernatural provision, miracles, and healing in various places.  These areas will become cities of refuge and places of refuge for God’s people.

There is coming an all out war in the Middle East as the neighboring Arab nations will come against Israel with a sudden missile attack starting from the north with Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Syria.  Other Arab nations will join.  Israel will be hit from all sides at once and there will be deaths and partial destruction of settlements, smaller cities to the north, and some damage to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well.  Israel will respond with great force, and limited nuclear weapons will release devastation upon the neighboring countries, particularly Lebanon, Damascus, which will be destroyed completely, and the rest of Syria as well as military strikes into Iran, Gaza, and even northern Egypt/Sinai region.

The resulting shaking of the West will then release a tremendous movement of Jews making aliyah back to Israel.  There will no longer be security or stability as it has been up to now in America and Europe. Israel will emerge victorious from this war, but hurt. However, the devastation inflicted upon the attackers will be one hundred times worse. The spoils of this war will include much territory and will force the west to recognize the Holy God of Israel.  It will emerge as the only stable country in the region.  Many, even millions of Arabs will be killed.  Islam will receive a mortal wounding by the Holy God of Israel.

I am taking Billy Graham home to heaven soon.  When you see this, know that My time of grace for the Gentile nations is coming to a close.

Prepare your hearts, the LORD is at the door to appear for His Bride, the overcoming church in this midnight hour

Pray for those that are trapped in darkness that God will reach them in time.

In our Messiah,

Abundance in Times of Famine

In times of famine, you will have an abundance.

The Lord woke me up with those words a few days ago, it was about 4:30 a.m.  As I jumped out of bed, at first I was happy that I would have an abundance and began praying and praising the Lord.  But the more I thought about what I heard,  I realized that perhaps we are nearing  a time of famine, and maybe we are to do something about it.

I was then reminded about the story of Joseph, how the Lord gave him the interpretation of the dream Pharaoh had regarding the seven fine looking and fat cows, and another seven  ugly looking and gaunt cows.  Pharoah then  had a second dream  with seven heads of grain, plump and good,  and seven thin heads of grain that devoured the seven plump and good grains.  See Genesis 41.

The interpretation the Lord gave Joseph was that there would be seven years of abundance,  and seven years of famine.

In those first seven years, Joseph,  now appointed as Pharaohs right hand man, stored up enough grain in preparation for the famine that lied ahead.  When the famine hit, Egypt had enough grain stored for the people.

The end result:  Egypt did not suffer the consequence  which affected the other lands,  because they heeded the warning the Lord had given them through Joseph.

In all of this, are we to prepare for  a time of famine, or is the Lord giving me another message?  I believe we are to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. It’s no secret that the economy worldwide is in shambles, held up artificially and could collapse at any time.  If  and when that happens, what comes next?   For me it would be hard to imagine since I have never experienced a depression, war or famine in my lifetime.

What I do know is that there will be famine, and it’s supported Biblically.  Like Joseph, we can prepare and store, seek His wisdom and guidance, and trust in Jesus.

May you be richly blessed this day.

Be Still

Psalm 46 10:  Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God, for it is in the stillness of your heart that I will reveal myself to you and show myself strong and mighty.

In the stillness  I speak to you.  Listen to my still small voice, where this voice, my voice will tell you great and mighty things which you do not know..

Be still and know that I AM God.

Desire to Prophesy

1 Corinthians  14:31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.

One of the gifts of the spirit is the gift of prophecy, and it has a three-fold purpose listed in 1 Corinthians 14:3:  But he who prophesies  speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

One of my prayer request to the Lord was that I desired to prophesy at a greater level,  and I earnestly desired this in my prayer time.  But nothing spectacular was  happening. I would attend the usual meetings, meet with my friends and it was business as usual.  Yes, I would receive prophetic impressions and words, but I wanted more.

I recently learned a valuable lesson; I was not asking the Holy Spirit  to speak through me!

During the meeting the Holy Spirit was always  invited,  and often times I would  leave discouraged, knowing that more could have been accomplished.

I am learning to involve the Hoy Spirit in all my events, saved and unsaved, even with phone calls to my friends.   A simple  question  before a meeting  such as, Holy Spirit, what would you like to say, who would you like to speak to, who can you bless,  please show me what you want to accomplish, I make myself available, show me and speak through me can go a long way.

We are not to ignore the nudges of the Holy Spirit when He speaks to us,  and we really don’t need to say, “I feel the Lord say such and such.”  Just make it a normal conversation, and when you speak what the Lord would have you say you will stir their heart with edification, exhortation and comfort.

Also, we cannot earn prophetic impressions, it’s a gift, freely given by the Holy Spirit.  I thought that if I prayed more, listened to more music the Lord will give me these dynamic prophecies, but all along He was waiting for me to ask the Holy Spirit to speak through me.

Do you desire to prophesy?  Great, we can all prophesy,   It’s easy.  Begin by asking the Holy Spirit to show you and speak to you at your next prayer meeting, gathering and invite Him to release His power  through you now,  and watch him move in your midst.

Women, keep silent!

1 Corinthians 14:34  Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.

For some time I have heard this passage preached and written regarding  women in ministry. I have read and heard both sides of the argument, and my role in ministry has been questioned.   There are a few things that I have learned that I would like to share with you here.

The Lord has anointed many women to do Kingdom work.  Some are teachers, prophets, pastors, evangelists and yes, even apostles.  So in seeing these women rise up and fulfill the calling the Lord has placed upon them, how does this scripture fit in?

Well, first we need to read what  the scripture says, exactly, and the time it was written in and in the context in was written.

This was written in the first century.  Women sat on one side of the church, and the men on the other side of the church.  Women were probably not educated as the men were.  As a result, they would have questions during the sermons.  Paul was literally asking them to respect the service, and to ask the questions to their husbands when they got home.

The word “speak”  here in the original Greek  refers to chatting, questioning and arguing.

The word “silence” refers to having a calm undisruptive spirit, and be open to learning.

Paul was emphasizing order in the church, not that women should never speak or be active in the church.

Understanding the position of women in the early Church is important because it establishes the foundation for the ministry of women in the Church today.

Women were very instrumental in the church. Let’s look at a few examples:

  • Intercessors

Women in the early church were intercessors in prayer.  In the city of Philippi, a group of women met by the river to pray

Act 16:13  And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.

  • Women were recipients of the Holy Spirit

The book of Acts records that the Holy Spirit came upon all, men and women:

Acts 2:17  ‘AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAYS GOD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH; YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS.

Acts 2:18  AND ON MY MENSERVANTS AND ON MY MAIDSERVANTS I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT IN THOSE DAYS; AND THEY SHALL PROPHESY.

  • There were prophetess:

Acts 21:9  Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

  • Women were Deacons in the church

Rom 16:2  That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

The word “succourer”  means one who stands before, a chief leader.

  • We have an account of a woman Apostle:

Rom 16:7  Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

We see here that Junia is noted as an apostle, a fellow prisoner.

As a pastor, if you have a strong conviction that women should not take an active role in ministry, then abide by your conviction for conscience sake.

I leave you with this last verse:

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

May you be richly blessed this day.
