Restoration of True Ministry

Not long ago I listened to a prophetic word given by Dan Dickerson from Covenant Ministries of America.

I found this word to be timely, but this word does not apply to every fivefold ministry.

Here is a quote from the website:

This prophecy is not meant to cause finger pointing or condemnation. It is meant to be a source of renewal, repentance and prayer for individuals and the church as a whole. If you know of anyone who fits this word then I urge you to pray with compassion and understanding realizing this, ” There but for the grace of God go I”. After listening to it, I too was made to examine my own motives for ministry and examine my own attitudes and experienced the fear of the Lord and a renewed sense of the awesome responsibility and position that others and I have been placed in as mouthpieces for the Lord.

After listening to the word myself, I went to prayer for a self evaluation.  If we are to be ground breakers and set apart for the work that the Lord has for us,  we need to stop and evaluate our own motives. 

Let God´s grace and Holy Spirit flood our spirits with a renewed strength, and may all of us fly with wings as eagles.

The Promises are Still Valid

This is a prophetic word delivered by Claude Widmer, founder of  Follow Him International that we are re-posting here.  I am sure you will be blessed as much as we were.

THE PROMISES ARE STILL VALID 

Indeed I am doing a new thing in this coming year. Do not think about the former things or ponder about the things of the past my children. Do not hold fast to the things that did not work out or the promisses not coming to pass.

For I am doing a new thing in your midst. The promisses that I have given are still valid. The promisses that I spoke forth will still come to pass. But it is time that you start to move your feet and that you start walking out the path that I have for you!

My people just stand and wait and think that I will do what I have promissed. But this is not the way it works my children. You need to get moving into the direction I have given you. And once you have taken a step in faith, I will do all the rest.

STEP OUT AND ACT

Once you have stepped out of that boat I will calm the storm. Once you have taken a bold step, I will do the miracles. Once you have spoken the word, I will confirm it with signs following.

But the time of waiting is over my children, Start walking out your calling. Start doing the little steps I have told you to take and I will accelerate everything. Once you take one step I will come with my Spirit and blow upon this little step you have taken and it will look like you have taken 30, 60 or a hundred steps.

Take that step and start digging for water in the dry land. And when you start digging I will bring forth the water and make the desert green. But you look at the people you know and the nations you live amongst and do not see the promissed land.

You think that you live among a hard people. It is hard ground that you have to work on. People seem to be arrogant and not wanting to see Jesus. But this is a lie by the enemy. Do not believe it. For the fields are ripe and ready for harvest!

The people are in need of a Saviour and need Healing and Comfort. Although it all looks like a dry land, it is not a dry land, but a ground that is ready with just a little water to be transformed into a beautiful garden.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

What are you waiting for my children? I have given you everything you need. I have placed my Spirit within you. I have washed away all your past experiences and all your hurts. I have made you ready for such a time as this.

For this world is about to experience something new. In the midst of conflicts and difficulties I am building my Kingdom says the Lord. I have chosen you to walk in my Power and bring forth a mighty harvest.

So do no longer be like Lots wife and look back all the time. Look ahead and see the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Do not hold on to old experiences and believe me once more. Throw the nets out once again and be a willing vessel. Step on the water and take action. For only if you are willing to take action and to risk something for me, can I come and confirm my word with the signs following.

Do no longer wait for me to do it. Start acting and start going out and do the stuff and you will see one miracle after the other. For I am still your provider and I am still your God. Is my arm to short to help? Am I not able to perform my word and hold my promisses?

BE BOLD YOU MIGHTY WARRIORS!

So be bold now and take the steps you know in your heart. For I will confirm your steps and let you run like never before. You will suddenly accomplish so much more than ever before and be part of the Move I had planned for such a long time says the Lord!

Be one of these warriors in my Kingdom, that will bring forth a bride that is shining and powerful without any wrinkle and without any spot. As you keep walking you will see some of the dross and dirt come out of you at first. But the more you walk and the more you give your life for my service, you will find that through the washing of the word, your motives will be cleaned and you will shine and my Body will be this city on a Hill, that will shine brightly.

Be bold and make steps in my Name and I will open the way before you every time! Do not expect it to be easy, for the enemy will not like what he sees. But he can not stop what I have begun, says the Lord.

Prevail and overcome and keep on walking even in the midst of resistance and attack and you will see my Kingdom advance and my Spirit move in your life and Ministry like never before! Just do what I have called you to do and walk in the ways I have opened before you and you will see my glory rise and my Power abound, says the Lord!

TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY IS TAKING PLACE

This coming year you will see lots of transition and transfer taking place. Transfers of means and finances from one continent to another from some people to other people. You will see a transfer of authority from one continent to another and even in the Spiritual many leaders will rise up from nations that did not have much Spiritual influence nor financial influence before.

A switch is taking place even now as we speak and Christian leaders will rise up that you have not heard of before and others that seemingly had strong influences will loose their influence. When you will see this happen, do not be afraid. For these transfers have to take place.

Many leaders in my Body have served for a long time and they have served my purposes well. But it is a new time and these things will even be changing in my Body now says the Lord. For I have been giving authority to a new breed of leaders.

People from other lands and continents that have not had the resources and means to be known will rise up now, says the Lord. Although they had nothing but me in the past, I will transfer means and resources into their hands now and they will speak for me. And it will not be just one person and one move. No, it will be many leaders and many moves, so that the enemy can not take one person out or stop my move in one region… it will be massive and he will try to put out the fires, but it is too late.

CHANGE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST AND IN THE WORLD

For I am doing it spiritually, but also politically. Things will be changing at a very fast pace and be different in short times. But when you see that happening, know that I am in control and that I am building my Kingdom, although it might look like the enemy has taken the land.

And indeed the enemy is fourious and is bringing much conflict and tumult, but have I not told you this a long time ago in my word? He can only work for so long and his resources are limited. So just hold on and be patient and know that I am bringing forth water in the desert and springs in the dry places and that I am about to bring in a big harvest in this coming season.

Even when it seems impossible, just trust in me and have faith, because I will accomplish it says the Lord and I want to work through you my children!”

Amen.

2009-The Year of Fulfillment

Prophetic word received for the Body of Christ.

This will be the year of fulfillment says the Lord.  For the plans and desires that you  have held close to your heart will be fulfilled.

  • The goals and ministries that you have desired will be fulfilled. 
  • The lost that you have prayed for, their salvation will be fulfilled.

For I am a God that keep His promises, and I am a God that will not be mocked says the Lord.  Believe in fulfillment, believe that you are being filled with more of  My Spirit, anointing and power, and it shall be done.

This word will give hope to those that have lost hope in their dream.  I do not let dreams die, the enemy does.  Let your dreams live, and see them fulfilled this year. Don´t ever lose hope, stand firm on the promise. 

My word will accomplish that for which it was sent.

Music will take on a new dimension.  To those that have desired for deeper, meaningful songs, I will open up the scriptures and birth within them a new song.

To those that have longed to write for my glory, I will put a new pen in their hands and I will guide them to write my stories, my novels.   My name will be exalted and I will pull down what the enemy has accomplished in the writing world.  I will birth new novels, new ideas, more creativity.  I will cause an explosion of writers to come forth.

How is an Apostle Prepared for the Ministry?

1 Corinthians 9:22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.(NKJ) 

In this subject I will cover some points on how an Apostle is prepared for ministry.

The  passage above  Paul is saying that he has to become all things to all men. How does an Apostle become all things to all men?  It begins with exposure. 

Exposure with different kinds of peoples, personalities, doctrines, church types, in fact, exposure in every area.   This is necessary because the Lord will need  His Apostles  to serve His Bride, and we come from all walks of life.

I will point out a few things that perhaps you can identify with.

  • God will expose you to different kinds of ministries. 

Here is where your training ground begins.  You will be in ministries that you don´t like to be in, or doing task that your uncomfortable with.  You will see people minister in areas that you feel you are better qualified in.  You will see other people making mistakes and you will want to scream for them to stop. 

The Apostle in training may feel a  calling to the prophetic, and there he or she is, working the overhead projector in the church. 

I remember that I had a desire to learn how to prophesy, and I was sent to the nursery.  I then wanted to be on the music ministry, and I began with turning over the music sheets on the projector.    I did not know that my preparation was beginning.

All of this is extremely necessary for the Apostle to go through.   God prepares you to face every area of ministry so that you will know how not to  it and how to do it correctly. 

Also this preparation is important so that you can identify with people in the Body.

  • The Lord will put you in situations where you will fail, and you will fail miserably. 

I have too many to count.  This is to equip you to have a servants attitude and to remain humble in His sight.

  • Temperamental changes

One of the most difficult area for me was  going through the different kinds of temperaments.  The four types of temperaments are:

  • Amiable
  • Driver
  • Analytical
  • Expressive

I was the amiable type.  I was always smiling, making every one happy, and leaving all the decisions to others.  I was then thrust into becoming a driver where I had to make a stand on my goals and push through like a bulldog  to accomplish my plans.

I  became an analytical.  I was re -doing  a business website and began to examine every meta tag and  every key word to make sure that I would obtain a higher google ranking.  I was eliminating pages and re wording others.

Expressive, this has been the most difficult for me.  I was the quiet type, but then something rose up within me where I just had to share my opinion and tell everyone how wrong they were (smile.)

The Lord will take you through these different temperament changes so that you can become all things to all people.

You will change, because the Lord will change you.  It just happens, especially if your desire is to follow the call of God on your life.  You cannot be complacent where you are at, you must push through.

  • Social Preparation

The Lord will also take you through social preparation.  Here is where the racial boundaries are non existent and there are no age differences and no class types.

If you did not feel comfortable with a certain race of people, guess where the Lord is going to thrust you next.  Yes, with the race you are most uncomfortable with.

Every person is a valuable member of the Body of Christ.  An Apostle must minister to people of all walks of life and view  people as the same.  We are the same in the eyes of the Lord and that is what the Apostle is reflecting.   There is no place for racism in the Kingdom of God.

What is an Apostle?

There are many teachings regarding the Apostolic, and I would like to share what I have learned on this popular subject. My desire here is to make this simple and not complicated for all to understand. I would like to share what I have learned about this subject while in ministry training.

Below are some signs to look for in an Apostle. Having these signs in your life does not make you an Apostle, that is for the Lord to decide.

An Apostle is a pioneer. They receive a plan/blueprint from the Lord, much like Moses did and they begin to execute that plan.

An Apostle is set apart and sent by God, unlike missionaries where they are sent by an organization. They receive a direct call from God and execute that plan. Many times he or she is a loner and viewed by many as odd, or off in the wrong path.

Romans 1:1 says Romans 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God(NKJ)

An Apostle leaves the visible church system to receive training from God. We have the example of Jesus, King David, Moses and John the Baptist.

An Apostle builds the church. But what is the church? The church are the people, not a building. They begin by setting a new foundation in the hearts of the people, doing away with old mindsets and teaching them new truths and revelation from the word.

An Apostle can function in all the five fold ministries. They may have a stronger emphasis in two to three areas, but they are able to function in all five at any given moment as the Lord requires.

An Apostle faces death to the flesh constantly and to things that just don’t go right. They learn quickly to die already, and move on.

An Apostle is a servant and receives the call from the womb. We have Jesus as the example.

Galatians 1:15 – 16 says: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood

An Apostle does not build on other men’s foundation, they receive their own blueprint from the Lord. 1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Can anyone be an Apostle? The answer is no. I have written an article titled “Are you Called or Chosen” that answers this question. We need to understand that being called as an Apostle carries with it a heavy price.

Can women be Apostles? Yes, because the scripture does not give reference to gender when distributing the gifts of the spirit. The Lord is looking for willing vessels, ready to carry out His plan upon the earth. Colossians 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

An Apostle does not produce new scripture. So run fast from those that say otherwise.

Apostles are called to leadership, they are not followers.
Romans 11:13 Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles I magnify mine office (KJV)

An Apostle will have a face to face relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and excellent communication.

This is just a very small overview of what being an Apostle is about. As the Lord leads, I will add new articles on this subject.

Become Pregnant

I came across a phrase that I have not considered in quite a while. The phrase was “Become pregnant.” - When we hear this word in the natural, we think of women, for the most part anyway, planning a pregnancy.

While there are natural pregnancies, the Lord can bless us with a spiritual pregnancy.

What? Become pregnant spiritually? Yes! As believers, we can become pregnant in the spirit.

When a couple becomes intimate, pregnancy occurs. For us to become pregnant in the spirit, we must have an intimate relationship with Jesus.

So how does one become pregnant in the spirit? To obtain a spiritual pregnancy is no different that becoming pregnant in the natural. It requires intimacy.

What is your desire? What spiritual gift do you long for? What ministry do you desire to function in? What goal do you have, what revelation do you need? All of your desires can be achieved with intimacy. Once that relationship with the Lord has occurred, then conception naturally follows.

After conception takes place, you may notice some morning sickness and things beginning to change around you. It is here that you protect that seed growing inside your spirit.

In the last months of your spiritual pregnancy, you may wonder why the gift you have prayed for is not yet manifest. This is the process known as spiritual birthing. Do not give up. Hang on to the promise that the Lord has given to you in your secret place.

Personally, I have wanted to quit several times. The birthing process can be painful. Arrows are thrown at you, and your life is in a mess. I have had to come to a place of getting back into the intimacy of the Lord to find out what stage I was at.

Everyone goes through labor, and everyone’s labor pain may be different, but we all go through it.

If you have a firm conviction of what the Lord has placed in you, do not give up. Continue to labor until giving birth. This is a critical phase, as the enemy will try to have you abort your child.

If you have a desire to achieve greater things for the Lord, then continue your journey. If you have yet to birth anything, then become pregnant! Become pregnant with His Spirit His word and your desire. After your firstborn is safe, get pregnant again. There are no limits with God, and it is the Lord’s desire to pour everything into us.

Go ahead, become pregnant.

Possess Your Promised Land

Joshua 1:1- 3  After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:  “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them– the children of Israel.  “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.  

We hear and read much about entering the Promised Land, possessing it and taking what is ours according to the promise God gave the Israelites.  We hear preaching and teaching on it, and it all sounds great.  However, my question to you is, what is your promised land? 

My guess it is not a physical piece of land. The land that I am speaking about is an area in your life that needs to be conquered.  That is the Promised Land that I am speaking of.  

The first step we need to do is identify your promised land, and how do we do that?  By recognizing your hearts desire. 

Do you desire to preach, write, or be successful in ministry?  Do you long to start a business or have your church building?   Do you aspire to change careers, or receive a better job? 

Whatever your land is that you need to possess, the Lord has given you a complete arsenal to go in and conquer. 

How do you conquer the land once it has been identified? 

First, identify any weaknesses you may have.  Moses had many excuses to not obey the call of God on his life.  Nevertheless, the word says that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  You see, it is not us, it’s Christ in us.  

What weakness do you have? Is it “I am a woman and will not be taken seriously?”  What about, “I don’t have much education?”  Or how about, “I can’t preach like that pastor.”    We all have excuses, but through Christ, you can conquer them.  Begin to paint a positive picture of what you desire.   

Once you identify your weakness, now what?  There are two powerful weapons called words and actions.  I can give you several testimonies on behalf of our family.  We have spoken in cars, jobs and other things into our lives, all by our words. 

Begin to say positive words.  Yes Lord, I can preach, teach, dance, have a business, see my church building, etc.   As you speak these positive words, visualize them.  See them in your mind.  Paint a positive picture and discard the negative.

If you desire to minister, ask the Lord to show you to whom you can minister to.  Be sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.  Do you want to preach?  Preach at home in front of your family or mirror and record yourself so that you can listen to your own voice.  The most important thing is to begin somewhere.  That is where the action takes place.

In the end, how do you posses that land?  One area at a time, and before you know it, you have acres of land that you can call your very own Promised Land.
