Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Today a bird flew into our window, just like the one in the picture. It happens every so often. When that happens we rush to see if the bird will make it. Fortunately this one did. He was knocked out for a bit then was able to fly away. As this happened I thought to myself, could there be a spiritual lesson in this?
Look before you fly, well that does not really apply to us, or could it?
Have you ever rushed into things, so excited for a new opportunity that you run straight for it and fall to the ground because it was not of the Lord? I have, and more than once!
One of the Lord’s promises is that we can call on Him, and He will show us great and mighty things that we do not know. The bird did not know the window was there. When I made my mistakes, I did not know that I was going to fail, but fail I did and gloriously.
When we make mistakes, we learn and grow from them. They are beneficial to us, it’s a necessary part of our growth. With our mistakes we gain wisdom and in turn can help others. So mistakes are not all that bad.
Before you see that next ”window”, take a moment and ask the Lord if this is the direction He would want you on. If you ask, He will tell you. Also ask others to pray for you to help you make that right decision and avoid a detour. Praise God for His grace, for when those mistakes happen in our life we are able to stand back up and continue our walk with Him.
May you be richly blessed.

Great advice. Many times I have not asked the advice of the Lord or else just say a quick prayer then run off and do what ever it is.
Thank you for your visit and commit to my blog the other day. I appreciate it very much and hope to see you back again.
Blessings,
Ken
What a great spiritual lesson! Yes, I’m afraid I too have been too eager to do something, that in the long run wish I had waited… but just as you said, mistakes we make are wisdom gained in order to help someone else. God bless!
Oh yes sis I rush sometimes before God even gives me the okay to say yes and only later wishing I had only waited, but thanks be to God I am still growing and not where I use to be. I love how your write always have since we been connected on these blogs God sure does know how to bring people together and distance is not an option for Him…AMEN
Yes, I relate to this – TY for sharing, and best wishes for 2012…
Yvette, that is one of my favorite verses! Thank you for making something that would be thought of as meaningless so meaningful. Also, thank you for stopping by and liking my post “I Believe God Heals”. May the Lord continue to bless and use you in your ministry.
You are welcome Sebastian! Jeremiah 33:3 is my favorite verse. Blessings on your ministry
LOL, Before I got saved I spent several months in counseling with my pastor during a phase I called my sin of the week. He kept having me turn to 1 John 1:9 If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. God is so good, He lets us learn through our mistakes and forgives us and loves us. Have a blessed New Year. Heather
