Psalms 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
It was an honor and blessing for me to be able to go to Nicaragua again this year on a two and half week missions trip through World Evangelism.
World Evangelism began a work in Bluefields, Nicaragua 53 years ago. Since then it has branched out into 11 churches. We were able to preach, teach and minister in a powerful way. The people are hungry and excited to hear the word of God.
Churches that we visited are:
Corn Island, Little Corn Island, Bluefields, Pearl Lagoon, Ratipura, Orinoco
Tasbapaunie, La Fe, Brown Bank and Kakabila. We were unable to visit Set Net due to time constraints.
Anytime I am asked to share and minister, I come to the Lord with a grateful heart that it was He whom has placed a calling upon my life and desire to do His work. While being away from home was hard and at times the conditions not what we are used to, ministering His word seemed to make up for it.
One particular moment stands out for me during this trip. A young boy, maybe 16-17 years of age attended the Corn Island meeting. He was one of the first to come forward when the altar call was given for a refreshing touch of the Lord. The Lord spoke to him through me in a powerful way, and the Spirit of the Lord was all over this young man of God. He stood in His presence, not wanting to move.
When asked who he was, no one has ever seen him before. It seems that he was invited or heard the radio broadcast announcing the meeting being held that evening. It is encouraging to see young people passionate for the things of the Lord, and with boldness to come forward.
Boldness, that is something that the Lord has been teaching me. We are to come boldly before Him, be bold in our faith and our convictions. We are not to be silent, but to speak up and speak God’s truth.
One particular vision I had which was very touching, was that I was running through a field, a gorgeous field with a lovely path. I was going to see my Heavenly Father. When I saw God, I ran to him and he picked me up in His arms. God was so large, I was the size of an infant, in comparison. I was so happy to see him, and just told him how much I loved Him. He replied, “I love you.” We repeated this phrase over several times, until I understood just how much He really loves me. It was a very touching moment for me.
Be bold to enter the presence of the Father. We have direct access because of Jesus, and He desires to hold you in His arms and tell you how much He really loves you and how special you are to Him.
May you be richly blessed this day.
I love your article. I love the vision the Lord gave you of the Father’s love for you. His love is so overwhelming!! It was a joy and a privilege to serve the Lord alongside of you. I felt the presence of the Lord in such a strong way. Love you, Yvette!

Hi Yvette,
What a blessing to be handpicked by God to go and minister to the people of Nicaragua! Love the pictures. I know God was glorified, and I know that His unfailing love was felt by everyone you encountered! How great!
