Mark 9:44 where ‘THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.’
As I was doing some yard work the other morning, I came across a dead rodent. As I lifted the rodent by the tail I noticed the worms had invaded the body. I then put the rodent back on the grass and was able to see it’s entire body moving from the inside due to the maggots.
Then the verse above came to me. In the natural, when a body dies flies come and lays its’ egg. The maggots then form and eats the body until there is no longer any tissue left to eat.
In hell, the worm never dies. They are eating away at the body while the person is still alive. I cannot imagine going through this type of thing. The person is there, seeing their body being invaded by maggots eating away at the flesh, and they unable to put a stop to it. Can you imagine what it would be like in hell having your body full of worms while you are still alive?
With Jesus one does not have to go through this. Revelation 3:20 says Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
We can answer the door that Jesus is knocking on, invite Him into our lives and heart and have life abundantly. He came seek the lost, to heal those that are distressed and give them peace, a hope and a future.
A future with Jesus in heaven excludes pain, suffering, illness, disease, worms and many other things. If you have tried what the world offers and still feel unsatisfied, try Jesus. He will never fail you.
