The Lord has Covered your Sin

The Lord has washed away your Sin

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.(KJV)

We read in Genesis that after Adam and Eve sinned, they hide in fear.   They had just  eaten the forbidden fruit and committed their first sin in the Garden of Eden.

We read later that God is  walking in the Garden looking for Adam and Eve, and even calls out to them.  They respond that they are naked, and of course God knew that they had eaten of the forbidden fruit.

When you sin, what is your reaction? Do you run to God immediately, or do you try to hide from Him?  In my sin, I usually hold out until I muster up enough nerve to face the Lord and confess. I am sure most of us are that way today.  The problem is when we stay away too long because of guilt and condemnation.

The enemy is always looking for ways to separate us from the love of God, and he will use guilt and condemnation to do that. Of course  the word says that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

God covered Adam and Eve with coats of skins, and clothed them to cover their sin.  That has not changed.  Today our sin is covered by the precious blood of Jesus.

God sacrificed animals,  and blood was shed to cover Adam and Eve, and the last sacrifice was Jesus, to cover our sin and to give us life everlasting.

Do you find yourself in sin, and you think its just so bad that God could not want anything to do with you?  That´s a  lie.   God wants everything to do with you.  He loves you and had His son die for us so that we can enjoy life, health, prosperity, and many other things associated with being His child.

We are sinners and because of that we will sin,  that will not change.  What we can change is how we respond to the Lord in our sin.     We can either hide in fear, or approach the throne in boldness and confess.

Allow the Lord to  refresh you this day with the power of the Holy spirit,  and understand that your sins have been  washed away by the blood of the Lamb.

Blessings

Wow! This is exactly what we taught at Imrah this last week. How man’s conscience became corrupted….with a twisted knowledge of the Father-heart…..and that a corrupted conscience was characterized by it running away from the very presence that wants to help.

This is exactly what we so often do……run away from His Presence when we sin because of sin…..looking for other means of salvation.

How awesome is the Father-heart that Jesus revealed to us!!!

Thank you Yvette for this awesome teaching!
