The past few weeks have gone by with so many activities around our home, that I have fallen behind on several things, including this blog.
Today I was encouraged as a blog I subscribe to, took a four month ¨life happens¨ break. The writer was saying that life happens and you should not feel guilty for stopping a pattern or changing it. It´s ok to give yourself permission to have a break.
I was beginning to get stressed out that I had not posted anything, and planned to come before the Lord in prayer asking for content this evening.
As always, God is so gracious. My evening plans were already made up in my mind, and I read the blog post that confirmed that a break is no big deal.
God seems to work that way for me in many areas. Just when I am thinking about a problem, requesting a solution, needing an answer for prayer, God shows it to me in the oddest ways. It could be a blog post, a phone call, a phrase that I hear, or a comment that I receive. Also, He will bring scripture to mind to ease my stress!
This gives me great comfort, knowing that the Lord is always with me, no matter what.
What kind of break are you going through in your life this day? A break is OK, it´s no big deal. Give yourself permission to do something different, to change your style. You will never know how the Lord will surprise you.
Blessings!

My blog is still in the planning stages – all I have right now is a name, a site and lots of ideas. One thing that has concerned me has been not being able to post often enough. Like the good doctor above I always seem to be behind in everything I do! So it was such a blessing to read your posting about taking a break when you need to. I find your blog such an encouragement. Thank you & God bless!

The most important this is to start, no matter how small. I planned my blog/website for about a year before I settled down to what I have now. With the Lord, we are forever changing and learning.

Don’t get to stressed. I am always behind in everything I do. I always pray and ask the Lord to help me get the things done He wants. It is important to take time for family and friends. Take a break, refresh yourself you deserve it.
God Bless,

I seem to come back to this site and read exactly what I need to read at just the right time. Thanks again Yvette for sharing. The Lord bless you.

I am beginning to love change. I was reminded of the time when the sudden change in the Facebook layout frustrated me. Before I could get used to the previous layout, it was changed! Now I had to reorient myself to the new one!
We so need to get used to change no matter how suddenly it comes!

Yvette, I to would get really upset if I did not post for a while. Many times I did not know what I was going to write. But after taking a breaking and fellowship with God the words came right back to me. I believe we all need to take a “spiritual breather” and just spend time with God. Don’t worry, I know we are not alone when it comes to “taking breaks.”
Blessings and much love to you.
