1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”(NKJ)
As believers, we know that we are to show and operate in love to one another. For some, that can be easier said than done.
We have the greatest gift bestowed upon us, Jesus. He laid down His life so that we may have life, and life more abundantly.
But how do we love someone who has fallen off the track? How do we react when someone close to us has hurt us or disappointed us in one way or another?
The scripture says to do everything in love. Doing so will not allow the enemy to take advantage of the situation. We keep that door closed, or else he will enter and possibly win the battle causing strife and division. For every battle we face, we want the Lord to win, not the enemy.
Here are just a few interesting facts about love.
- Love rejoices in the truth.
- Love causes us to pray for our enemies as mentioned in Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.(NKJ)
- Love is patient, love is kind
There are times where we cannot rely on our own strength, but in the strength of the Lord to see us through, especially if we are hurting. By practicing love in difficult circumstances, we know that we can get through the tough time end experience His victory.
If you are going through pain, practice love. As you pour out of yourself, Jesus will pour more of Him into you.
Blessings.

Good teaching sister,
I’ve been practising this but from a different angle. The Lord had led me to pray Numbers 6:23-27 the Priestly Blessing. I have to admit though that at time it’s not easy to bless someone when they’ve done a number on you, but the more I practise this – with the knowledge that it’s Christ in me – then I see more of His compassion being formed in me
God Bless
