We currently have a storehouse account, and we ask the Lord to bless it.

We still bring our tithes and offerings to the church, as that is what is taught in scriptures.

Consider this verse: 1 Timothy 5:18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”(NKJ)

Pastors of the church are worthy of their wages. We must always tithe to help support the work of the ministry. What is not taught in the churches is that we are to have our own saving account, apart from tithing.

My mother wanted to know too. Because we haven’t seen the results of tithing and offering as we have been taught.

Does this mean we shouldn’t bring our tithes and offerings to the church?

A storehouse is where we have our source of abundant supplies, where we keep our goods. Our goods could be material, or spiritual.
Also, if we take care of our physical being with exercise and a good diet, that would also be considered a storehouse of health.

The verse in Duet talks about our barn, where we keep our supplies.

In Gen 41:56, Joseph opened the storehouse to feed the people.

So a pastor can be praying, meditating and reading the word of God all week, so that he would have a storehouse from his Spirit to feed his sheep on Sunday mornings.

We all have a storehouse, we just need to find it, tap into it and begin to fill it.
