We frequently don’t know how barraged we are until we choose to turn off the TV, the radio, and avoid places where someone is trying to sell us something. I decided to unplug my TV a few weeks ago to save energy. I plugged it back in last night to watch a DVD and realized I hadn’t watched TV in over 2 weeks. Maybe that’s why I’ve been so calm . . .

Abba speaks to me, but usually says, ‘You are the dancing queen’ or ‘Do you hear the drums, Fernando?’
