Fellowship with the Saints

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another– and all the more as you see the Day approaching.(NIV)

While in the bank lobby yesterday, there were several young toddlers with their parents. I watched these children, strangers to each other, yet drawn to each other. It could be because they shared the same eye level, but as children they wanted to know each other, look and touch one another.

I watched them carefully, and I was reminded of a phrase that was told to me years ago. This particular person had mentioned that Jesus had no friends, so therefore as leaders in the Body of Christ we are to have no friends. At the time I was following along, but that did not last long. I am not sure if this person still practices this belief this day.

The Lord desires for us to assemble together. God made us to fellowship with one another. Did not the Lord tell Adam that it was not good for him to be alone?

When we are together in the Body, we uplift and encourage one another. We encourage our fellow brothers and sisters in their gifts, in their calling and by doing so they can press forward to fulfill the call of God upon their lives.

If you find yourself drawing away from people, that is not healthy and you could be falling into deception. Meet with other saints, with other fellow Christians and begin to build yourself up, all the more as you see the Day approaching.

May you be blessed in Him.

The Rise of the Hidden Nobodies

Word received Aug 16, 08

I am about to raise up the hidden nobodies. Those that have not bowed to the world, but have bowed to Me in their bedrooms and living rooms.

These hidden nobodies will rise up in full force, those that have heard my voice, obeyed and have waited patiently for their manifestation upon the earth.

The time draws near where they no longer will be nobodies, but my new generation of leaders says the Lord.

Blog Award

I was blessed to receive this award from my blog friend, Valerie Lynn over at Simply 4 God.  I just love Valerie´s post. They are uplifting and encouraging to read.   There is also a trait in her that is difficult to find.  I call it transparency.  Being transparent is not easy to do, especially with the world reading.  But she does so in such a way that it makes you look within your heart and life, and causes you to dig deeper and bring out the hidden gunk in your own life.

I would like to pass this blog award to others blog friends that have blessed me.  I trust they will bless you too.

Diane has a new blog out called Stepping into the Light.  She is a former atheist, and now writes for Jesus.  She shares her  walk with the Lord, and encourages those to step into the Light.

Another new blog friend is Lori over at Perservere.  I enjoy  her outlook on life, as Lori stand close to the One that gives her strength.  Lori has a muscle disease, and her post are such a blessing and brightens up your day.

Alexander is a blog friend that I have known for a while.  One day he challenged me about my pen name that I used on Blog Catalog.  When he asked, ¨What´s with the name?,¨ it made me think.  I since changed it.  Thank you Alexander!

Of course I cannot forget Imrah Ministries.  The writers are all teachers, and get into the meat of the word.  If you need help on a topic, I am sure that they have the answers.

 Enjoy!

I want to tell you something that God just told me

I was stumbling this morning, and I came across this post from Breitbart.tv and wanted to pass it on.

Fasting

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

In my prayer time yesterday, I was asking the Lord to cleanse me of my sin.  The  scripture above came to mind, and I began to journal.

I desire for my Bride to be healed of the infirmities brought on by the world.  They listen more to what the world says than what my word says.  They have more faith in the world then in the word.

Because of the world and its influence, many are dull of hearing my voice.

I then remembered that at times I would go on a media fast.  The media fast would consist of cutting out any form of news.  That means  Internet, radio, television and newspaper.  It is best done for a week, though fasting a few days brings results.

The  reason for a media fast is to hear His voice clearer in my life, and to give me direction and direction for others when I minister.  It also helps me  draw closer to Jesus, and develop a more personal relationship.  I desire the kind of relationship where I am not always asking, but listening to the Lord.  I desire to be just with Him.

I am planning  my next media fast.    If you have not tried a media fast, I encourage you to do so.  Use the time in prayer, meditation and reading of the word. Doing so will cause a purging of the world, and hearing His voice clearer in your life.

Time to Get that Answer

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’(NKJ)

As many of you know, this is my favorite verse.  I draw from this scripture when I am stuck and need help.  The Lord is faithful in answering, and He may choose to answer me directly,  through scripture or through others.

The Lord asked something  of me recently, and I wanted triple confirmation before I said a firm yes.  I had already given the Lord a half yes, only if I receive confirmation.  Does that sound familiar to anyone?

I played the role of Nebuchadnezzar with my family.  the Lord told me something, and I am asking you to tell me what He said.  They came pretty close, but I wanted word for word confirmation.

I received my answer, and it was given to me via a  prophetic word  at a small  group we attend.  Every single word spoken was such a rhema, that I finally told my husband what it was the Lord was asking. It came as no surprise to him nor to my son.

This taught me that I do hear the Lord correctly, and  I  need to be obedient the first time around and not be a child when it comes to hearing His voice.  It also taught me to stretch my faith, and believe the impossible.

Is God asking something of you?  Believe you heard correctly, and act on it by faith.

Blessings in His name.
