Speak the right words

Isaiah 50:4 “The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary.(NKJ)

Have you ever been in a situation and you just don´t know what to say or do?  Have you ever felt that your words are not good enough for someone who is suffering or discouraged?

I have been there.  Tyring to find the right words to a friend that is going through a difficult time can be difficult.   The good news is we don´t really have to say or do anything.  We have  a comfortor that know all things, and if we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our tongue, the words that will flow out will be of Him and they will be words of comfort.

I have been in situations where sometimes I don´t need to say anything.  Just the presence of one who cares is all the other person needs.  Sometimes we feel that we have to say or do something.  That is not always the case.

All we need to do is make ourselves available, and watch Him work through us.

I’ve found that more often than not, in difficult times the right thing to say is nothing at all (I have experienced it on both sides of the pain). Love is always the right thing to say. It should be the measuring stick for everything you do.

Thanks for the great post. I got here through the Carnival of Christian Women.
