Change your Focus

Isaiah 1:18 Come now and let us reason together says the Lord. While experiencing some family problems, and not knowing what to do or where to go, I did what I do best.  I went to the Lord with my journal and began pouring out my heart.

It did not take long to receive the answer, but it was only after I confessed my sin. I had been trying to “fix” the problem all on my own, thinking that I had all the right answers, but to no avail.  It took me a while to realize that what I was doing was getting me and my family nowhere fast.

I realized that something had to change, and the change began with me.  I had been focusing on all the problems and mistakes, and not realizing the blessing that I had right in front of me.I went to Jesus and He reasoned with me! We then applied the technique of seeing only the good, and not the bad or ugly to our situation, and it was as though the anger and hurt had disappeared.

It seemed so simple, yet at the time, it was far from me. A burden had lifted, and the Lord refreshed us all with His love and grace.

Are you in a bind or experiencing problems and don’t know where to turn? Go to the Lord, reason with Him, and He will provide a simple solution for you life.

I really needed to hear that. I used to be the same way. I often tell people that, our society constantly focuses on problems all the time, that people get caught up in dr. phil, court shows, more court shows, cops, and other reality crap. My girlfriend always fall prey to that crap. I’ve been getting her to watch hopeshow.tv.

    Hopeshow,
I am glad that this ministered to you. It is true, we need to focus on the good, and not the problem. Keep your focus on Him, and He will direct your path.
